Essay on Wwii World War Ii and Czech States Essay on Wwii: World War Ii and Czech States WWIl Being the most destructive war in history, World War II was responsible for killing about 55 million men. The war made a difference in the way the world was scene. There were many causes for the war. These causes include the following; the end of World War I, appeasement policy, expansion of Japanese military and Hitler with his policies of expansionism. World War I caused massive destruction and the world became alert to another major war evolving. This led to the formation of the League of Nations and Britainââ¬â¢s appeasement policy. Then end of WWI was proclaimed with the signing of the Treaty of Versailles. The treaty placed guilt and responsibility of World War I on Germany and included territorial clauses that ordered Germany to give up African Colonies and forayed annexation of German Austria. The treaty also ordered Germany to repay 226 billion for the damages caused by the war. This treaty was a major cause for WWII because it wasnââ¬â¢t harsh enough to prevent German y from becoming a world force again. This treaty also managed to upset all Germans. They saw it as unfair. ( pg 751- 752) The Appeasement policy was another cause of WWII. This policy was set in place by France and Britain. It allowed Nazi Germany to have anything it wanted in hopes that Hitler would be appeased and disregard his aggressive policies. Germany entered Rhineland under the Versailles treaty in 1936 and Hitler was forbidden not to. In 1938, German armies entered into Austria and annexed the country. Germany violated the treaty of Versailles in more than one way. Britain and France did not protest the violations in hopes that another war would not occur. Lastly, Hitler and his armies entered the Czech states to take Sudetenland back and France and Britain raised their objections. Hitler proceeded and implied that war was in the making.
